August 20, 2021
Greetings Gator families,
Welcome back to our new school year of in-person learning. We missed seeing everyone and are so happy you are here at school. I want to thank you for your patience and your support as we continue to develop and work through the pandemic. We are going to make sure that we bring back many of our fun activities and programs for the 2021-22 school year.
We will, until further notice, begin the school with everyone wearing a mask to ensure that everyone is safe. We are following the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services(DHSS) protocol for quarantine and Covid-19 exposure cases.
We have some new faces of teachers and staff this school year and they are loving the students and our gator family at GSA South. Please join me in welcoming them to our team.
Our GSA South family is also mourning the loss of our beloved staff member Mrs. Erica Patton. She served at GSA South for 5 years and meant so much to so many. She will always be on our minds and forever in our hearts as we continue to educate and love our students, as she did.
Again thank you for entrusting our GSA South team to assist our gators in their learning, develop their problem-solving skills, and work towards being kind and helpful to their fellow classmates.
We will continue to foster a learning environment that allows student to be safe, respectful and responsible in their actions each and every day.
It is our GSA South staff, teachers, students, and parents that makes GSA South School a great place for teaching and learning.
In the Service of Children,
Wendy Gilliam, Building Principal
